Pasting Excel chart into Word table (Word XP SP2)

I have an Excel workbook with some charts when I select and copy one chart and try to paste special as a picture into a Word table with a single cell the chart appears to be above and behind the table ie it is not inserted in the cell. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Re: Pasting Excel chart into Word table (Word XP S

    Hi John:
I have Word 2000, but it sounds like it's the same. When you paste a picture, you are pasting in the drawing layer, not inline with text. One workaround is to position the cursor in the table cell, Insert/Paste Special as a picture. Then double click the picture to bring up the Format/Picture dialog box, switch to the layout tab & choose inline with text. The picture should then be inside the cell you originally chose.
    Hope this helps,
