    Disable helpfunction (2002)

    Hi,

I hope someone can help me out. We have a few access application running on pc's in our factory. They run on access-runtime. There are always people who try to break in. The latest trick is to start the access application. Press F1 for help and from there you can created some error, which makes the help function go to lookup a file. A browser becomes available and people can go anywhere they want. So what I would like to do is disable the F1 function. Does anyone know how to do this.

    Most grateful for tips!

You could trap every keystroke and if it's F1 just throw it away - but that would create lots of overhead. You might also consider deploying a custom HelpFile with a message appropriate to the situation.

    Thanks for the ideas!
I have to look into these possibilities. I guess just disabling or reassigning the F1key will work.
