    offset and all that (office xp windowsxp)

    can any one help with resolving a formula which is supposed to show the value of an offset cell "=LOOKUP(D44$3000,(OFFSET(A$4:A$1000,0,1)))""

    i have included an excel file which will explain it better

    I am not sure exactly what you want, but this:
    <pre>=VLOOKUP(D4,$A$4:$B$38,2,FALSE)</pre>


    Will lookup the value in D4, in Col A and if an exact match is found it will report the result from col B.
