    SQL Issue (2000)

    Hi, have built a query that runs fine, however when I build a report from that query I get this message 'The specified field

    Although it shouldn't matter, it might be that the reports gets confused because a field in the table has the same name as the table itself. Do you still get the error if you rename the field or table so that they have different names?

    If not:
    (1) What is the Record Source of the report?
    (2) What is the complete SQL of the query?

    Thanks Hans, that resolves it and highlights the importance of having naming conventions too! (They weren't mine incidentally).
