    Format autonumbering (Word 2000)

Edited by HansV to remove superfluous line breaks. The browser will automatically wrap lines depending on window size.

When using Word 2000, the automatic numbering feature routinely formats this and subsequent paragraphs to indent at .5cm for the number and 1.5cm for the body. Is there a way to stop it doing this and leaving the numbers at the set margin? Many thanks in advance.

If you select Format | Bullets and Numbering, and click Customize..., you can set the indents.
