Change time zones for resource calendars (2002)

Is it possible to set resource calendars that easily take into account different time zones? For example, if the main project and most resources are in Chicago on Central Standard Time, but some resources are in Korea, how does one set up the calendars for the resources in Korea? Are time zones able to be accounted for?

    Thanks!

    Stephen,

You pose an interesting question. I have run projects that had multiple tasks being done in different time zones at the same time. (US, Turkey, England, Italy) The time differential between Turkey and the US was 8 hours. However, it didn't matter what time zone you were in as you still worked 8+ hours per day. As this was not a wage rate job, differential pay due to the physical location where people worked did not matter either.

In my opinion, I don't think time zones need to be accounted for as the performance measurement and schedule will be measured against the total work complete irregardless of where the work occurs.

Is there anything else happening that you need to account for?

One last item. I actually didn't answer your question. Is it possible to set resource calendars to take into consideration different time zones? I dont know - <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
