    Meeting Request Cc... (2000/2002)

I have a busy meeting organizer who needs to keep Line Managers informed of meetings attended by their staff.

Is there any way to 'Cc' a Meeting Request so that the Cc recipient is aware of the meeting details and attendees, but not invited to it (even as an optional attendee)?

Wouldn't it be more practical for the staff to cc the Line Managers if they are going to attend? HTH

Not an elegant solution, but you could open the Appointment, select Reply to All, and then delete all the recipients and CC's, then select and send the message to those you want to CC.

No, not really. We are looking for a way of automatically informing Line Managers without having to rely on an invitee remembering to let his/her manager know.

Currently the meeting organizer sends a separate message to Line Managers as a courtesy to keep them informed of activities involving their staff. However, this also relies on the organizer remembering to do this.

    Thanks John,

Elegance aside, your suggested solution is the closest yet! Impressive outside-the-square thinking <img src=/S/clapping.gif border=0 alt=clapping width=19 height=23>

Or..... Someone could work up a custom meeting request form, for use by the organizer. You could trap the send event and have email sent to the managers. I wouldn't recommend this if you needed to distribute the form to the company.

Thanks John, Your suggestion looks like it could be the most thorough way to achieve what we're after.
