Bugs in Word 2003 Part II (OL 2003)

    <img src=/S/hello.gif border=0 alt=hello width=25 height=29> Loungers

OK I am convinced that Outlook 2003 is full of bugs, or at least odd behavior.

I am seeing things that are not truly characters of solid software development, and I am not sure how to identify if Outlook 2003 is simply a "half-baked" idea or what, I have seen the Office Update site and I will download and update my installation, but first I want to snap a couple of pictures of what I see as "bugs"

Anyone can tell me what is the version/build number they see in their installation? Mine is 11.5608.5606.

    TIA

    Wassim

    Build 11.5608.5703

The only update I've added is detailed in MSKB 828041

I have also loaded a couple of add-ins but they should not have changed the build number

This copy is a "Promotion" copy for attending Seattle launch and has a single use ULA.

My laptop has the same version running T and S edition.

    <img src=/S/drop.gif border=0 alt=drop width=23 height=23> Dave

I got this from CompUSA? What the heck, they are selling promo software? <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15>

I thought that I got myself an Office 2003 CD with 3-home licenses, and now I need to deal with a whole bunch of things that I should not have to deal with.

OK what happens when I update? Will I get disconnected simply because I have a promo version that I paid top dollar for?

    Hum!!!

Thanks a Million for the info. Now I think I can do something about it.

    Dave

Please stand by while I reactivate my SnagIt screen capture software. I have a purchased copy, but I can't find the e-mail with the activation code.

Once I find the e-mail, then I will take screen shots to post and then you guys can see what I see.

After that, I will apply the patches, hope they work, and then take other screen shots to see the changes in action.

Should not be more than a day to so.

    Thanks

I mislead you, MY copy is a "Promotion" copy for attending Seattle launch and has a single use ULA.

How much did you pay for the "Three home license" copy?

If it was about $150.00 US, then it is the T&S Edition. The Pro version is about $300.00 US.

If you can install on three machines then you must have the "Teachers and Students " Edition. And Yes, it will NOT be good for a "Upgrade to the next version of Office, just like the T & S of XP can not be used to upgrade to the Office 2003 Pro.
