    Outlook 2k & CGI Forms (Outlook 2000)

I'm having a problem with Outlook 2K. I have developed a consumer complaint database. The client services reps use the Web (Intranet) based form to fill out the details of the complaint, and the complaint is then emailed as an HTML form to the appropriate manager. The manager then completes the form in the email, hits submit to update the information, and receives a confirming web page that the information took, as well as a reassuring email. I tested it on my PC running Windows2K, and Outlook2K, and it worked perfectly.

Starting early last week, I noticed that now the updates would not take from the Outlook2K on my PC. The web page to confirm submission would pop up (which indicates that the <form ***** action=script.pl> section was triggering the script), however the form parameters were not being passed. I tested this process on Friday with one of my co-workers, and the form updated the database correctly. He was running Outlook2K as well. This morning when demonstrating this to our techies, my co-worker's PC, which had worked at the end of last week, and now it would not process the form.

Does anyone else have any experience with Outlook dropping parameters from HTML forms triggering CGI Scripts?

    Thanks in advance

If you have some working PCs, check the Internet Explorer security settings for the following security Zones: (1) Restricted (applies to the message body) and (2) whatever zone the intranet server is in. Do you see any differences that could block the submit from working in selected cases?

Finding a working PC has been problematic. However, on one installation, did receive a warning message of form information being posted to a 'Restricted Site', so that is probably the issue. The fix may not be easy as all our copies of IE are customized ones from an Application Service Provider a customer insists that we use. This customized one has most of the Internet Options features disabled or hidden. Long, and challenging treks through RegEdit are required to bring the features back to life. Your assistance was helpful.

    Thanks.
