A friend has a dual boot with WIN 98 SE and WIN XP PRO. Currently, when the system starts, WIN 98 is the OS listed as the default OS to start and he needs to click down to WIN XP to start that OS. How do you reverse that sequence so that WIN XP would be the first listed OS to start up?

I'm not for sure because I never used it, but can't you go into MSCONFIG under BOOT.INI and choose the one you want, and set it as default.

In addition to Cowboy's method there is an easier management system for this built in to System Properties. It's on the Advanced tab, under Startup and Recovery/Settings.
