    Microsoft Reader

Some years ago I downloaded Microsoft Reader, along with a selection of out-of-copyright ebooks. I later uninstalled Reader, but recently downloaded the latest version. I can read the titles I had originally downloaded, but can find no link to the list of freely available titles. Are there any free ebooks still available anywhere?

I haven't taken time to check this out but someone posted a link to eLibrary in another thread.

This is a different system, and their books cannot be read by Msoft Reader, only as palin text files in Wordpad.

    Re: Microsoft Reader

If I read this correctly, anything you can get in plaintext or can convert to plaintext can be converted to MS eReader if you have MS Word, see

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results...&DisplayLang=en

And for other Loungers reference, since I hate to let a tricky search (there's a load of advertisement-filled e-book hyped commercial sites) go unposted:
