    adding sheet name to footer (Excel 2000)

    This code in my before print macro is somehow incorrect in that the &A is supposed to add the sheet name to the footer, yet what I see is /A on the actual printed sheet. What needs to be changed? I had worked on this over the summer and thought I had it correct, with the help of this forum. Thanks!

    sht.PageSetup.LeftFooter = ActiveWorkbook.FullName & "/" & " &A" & vbCr

    Strange, I copied your line of code straight out of your post into a macro (Excel 2002 SP-2), defined sht, and it worked OK for me (there is a superfluous space before the sheet name, but that is not essential.)

    But you can use sht.Name instead of " &A" if you want to avoid the &A code.
