Mozilla may cure that. What are the circumstances in which you receive the error message? What is your operating system and is Netscape set as your default browser?

Netscape IS my default browser. The Pop-up occurs randomly, usually while I am in the midst of surfing some website. There seems to be no particular pattern but when it occurs in the middle of a download it IS damned annoying.
I have the Mozilla CD and intend to install it again. Tried it once and for another reason had to clone over it (Ghost). Where do I get the add on Firebird and Thunderbird items
Thanx for the prompt response. Oh yeah I am using WinXP Home.

From what you say, it is hard to tell what is crashing your browser. Thus, changing may not necessarily solve the issue - although it may not hurt. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

If you are not planning to use the Web Page Designer and the IRC Chat Client parts of Mozilla, you may be better off simply installing Firebird and Thunderbird. These last two are not add-ons. They are simply the browser component and the mail component - each on a stand-alone basis. Each stage of the Firebird and Thunderbird development cycles get taken up in a subsequent version of Mozilla.

It was also my understanding that Mozilla would be phased out in favour of stand-alone applications as opposed to the entire suite. That means that Firebird/Thunderbird are where the future changes and improvements will be taking place.

Splitting the Mozilla Suite into components was part of the original strategy. There does, however, seem to be little present sign of this actually happening. Given the dropping of Mozilla by AOL, it seems strange that Mozilla CDs are still being pushed. It remains true that the mature feature polishing on Firebird/Thunderbird has reached a much higher level of quality.

As an echo to what unkamunka and wyllywylly have said, you really ought to get rid of Netscape 4.x (anything) and use something more recent. Of course, I also support Mozilla all the way, but (blush) even Netscape 7.x would be better than any old 4.x version. There's just been too many coding changes in MANY web sites that will cause Netscape 4.x to crash or not render pages correctly.
