1-click minimize all open windows (XP Pro, version 2002)

In Windows 2000, I enjoyed the icon in the lower left hand corner of my screen that minimized all open Windows and let me access my desktop. Is there a similar feature in XP? As it is now, I manually minimize all the open windows to access my desktop. A one click icon would be welcome. If anyone can tell me how to do this, I'd appreciate it!

    many thanks,
    Chuck

Also, if you have a keyboard with a "Win Key" - between Ctrl and Alt, press that and D (think Desktop) at the same time for another way of getting the same result. HTH

By default the "Show Desktop" icon is included in the Quick Launch toolbar. If you have not got this toolbar turned on, right click on the taskbar and select "Toolbars>Quick Launch"

If "Show Desktop" is missing then follow the instructions in <post#=322889>post 322889</post#>

And, you can also turn on the Desktop Toolbar (similar to QuickLaunch) that shows you a menu of all icons on your desktop. (Right-click the Taskbar, select Toolbars and turn on the Desktop toolbar) The nice thing is that you don't have to minimize any windows!

This is what we do. On a MS Explorer 5-button mouse, we use the mouse software to set the "small" side button to SHow/Hide desktop. Works really well.
