    Sharing inbox (Outlook 2000/Windowa XP)

I have seperate logins for myself and my wife in XP. We would like to share our inbox, contacts, etc. in Outlook.however. How do I set it up?

Let me assume that one of you already has Outlook up and running with the relevant data. That data is stored in a .PST file. Note its location. (This can be discovered using the Mail control panel, or a search of your hard drive.)

When the second person logs in, Outlook will open her or his PST file. If you were to rename that file from, say outlook.pst to oldfile.pst, Outlook would raise an alarm and ask you to point it to its PST. At that point, you point it to the first one.

I think you probably would have to exit Outlook when switching between users, but since I've never tried it, I'm not sure.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. Would that also point to the contact list?

Your pst file contains everything in outlook, including contacts. And yes only one user can access an outlook pst file at a time.
