    Folders

Is there a way in Windows 2000 to change the icon displayed on the desktop for an individual folder?

    Thanks in advance

Right Click the folder/icon>Properties>(Customize if on the dialogue box)>Change Icon>You can access icons from virtually any program in any folder (including hidden ones) or favicons you've saved in a folder. If more questions, please ask. Some of the links here may help:

    Re: Folders

    Thanks.
I have chnaged the icons for the shortcuts in the folder. What I would like to do is
change the icon for the folder itself. When I right click the folder and view the
properties, I do not see a change icon option.

This is an icon on hte desktop.
    My OS is Windows 2000.

    Thanks

    Richard--

Unless I'm totally misunderstanding, you should be able to do this easily with the folder on your desktop. I don't see anything in the way. What happens when you right click this folder> 1) left click properties-- don't you get a properties box with the folder name with 2) a customize tab that you can click and then 3) hit a "Change Icon" button and you can 4) find any icon you want and change it?
