Drag and drop from Find window (2002)

I can't drag mails from the Advanced Find results window to a folder. I simply get the message "Can't move the items". With the same version of Outlook XP running on Win2K (I'm now on XP) I had the same problem but also could not set up a rule to move items, getting a similar message. Rules work now, drag and drop does not.
    Can anyone help?

Re: Drag and drop from Find window (2002)

I discovered the other day that I could not drag and drop from a regular Find (in the folder itself). I ended up creating a custom category called MoveMe, assigning that to all the messages, clearing the Find, grouping by category, and then moving them. Needless to say, that was a PITA. I'd love to hear there's a simple fix for either of our scenarios.

I should have mentioned my workaround - a little easier than that one, I think. Within the find window, ctrl-A, ctrl-C. Click on the message list in the folder you want to move to (can probably just click on the folder) and ctrl-V to paste (right click does not offer the paste option). Return to find window and delete.

As long as the copy is identical, that works for me! (Still, I have no idea why drag and drop doesn't work...)

Is Ctrl+Shift+V (Edit > Move to folder....) not an option?

    Yeah, but it's so many more clicks. <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>
