    Import Email (Ver 6)

Dell Computer was upgraded from Windows ME (2 identities) to Win XP (2 user accounts). Old email messages were not visible in either user account. I tried to Import messages from OE6. I saw the original identities but when I continued the import process, I got an error message: Import From OE 5 The specified message store could not be opened. It may be in use by Outlook Express. Can someone tell me how I can reclaim the old email messages? Thanks

    Re: Import Email (Ver 6)

The mail stores will be under something like: Cocuments and Settings[username]Local SettingsApplication DataIdentities{very long alpha-numeric string}MicrosoftOutlook Express. Right-click on the folders and choose Sharing and Secuirty to make sure you have permission to access these folders. (You will have to have Administrator rights in your User Profile.) You will also need to have "Show hidden files and folders" checked under Start|Settings|Control Panel|Folder Options|View. Once you have done this, try the import again. HTH
