Outlook Contact Fieldnames (OutlookXP/WinXP)

Sorry, folks, I'm sure I saw this somewhere but I can't find it for the life of me! I seem to have a block on how to use search ...

I need a list of the field names for the contacts form in Outlook, so that I can import my address book from Lotus Organizer (v6, too recent to be supported - XP hasn't caught up yet!). I've got it as far as a format it can understand and where the field names match it brings the info in perfectly, but without a list of the accurate field names I can't get it to read the rest!

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

File > Import and Export > Export to a file...
(Next)
CSV (Windows)...
(Next)
Contacts...
(Next)
(Next)
Map Custom Fields...
Click on 'Default Map'

Does that give you the list you need?

Thanks, Leif, that certainly sounds like it should! Funnily enough, having been searching the Microsoft site for help with this and other problems I've got, I had literally just this minute found this suggestion there, too!

I'll try it out when I get home (we're still on Outlook 98, here).

Muchos gracias!

OK - I did a quick export and it lists the field names on Row 1 - see the attached.
(Sorry - it had to be an .xls rather than .csv to attach...)

Thanks Leif - that makes it much easier!

Out of curiosity - you say you did a "quick export" - what do you mean by that?

What I meant was I did it without giving much thought to what I was doing - I selected all field names (so I didn't have to make any decisions), then deleted all the entries to leave just the column headers.

Umm, but I meant what did you export?!

Or do you mean you exported your own contacts folder, then deleted its contents except the headings, which you attached to your post? Now, why didn't I think of that ...?!

Anyway, thanks again!
