    Getting to grips with MSDE

Ok, so I've found out where the MSDE install application sits on the Office Pro disk, and got the thing up and running.

Even managed to upsize a small Access database to an ADP without too much head-scratching, and set up links from another Access db to the back-end tables.

How do I go about finding out what I can do with the MSDE now I've got it (user settings, security, osql, Transact-SQL syntax etc.), as it's quite clear that there's no online help or readme files.

Buy a book on SQL Server? Find some web help/white papers/reference sites?

Anyone been through this learning curve??

    Thanks

Re: Getting to grips with MSDE

Any support for MSDE would lurk in the MSDN library, if it exists. However, it is covered in Volume 2 of the Access 2000 Developer's Handbook from Sybex, and I believe that Russell Sinclair's book, Access to Sql Server (?), covers it as well.

Thanks Charlotte, I'll try to track down those references.
