    Hidden defined name - how to delete ? (W2K, O2K, XL2K pro-UK sp2)

    Hi,

When using MS's official tool for deletion of unwanted links - the dellinks.xla, I've come across somthing referred to as "Hidden defined name".

Apparently these cannot be deleted by the wizard - and they are not visible to the user...

Would anyone know how to access these "items" - ultimately how to "terminate" them?

    Thanks
    Bests,
    RD

PS: Wish there were a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence. There's a knob called "brightness," but that doesn't work

Download my name manager from my site below. It shows all names, regardless of whether they are hidden or not.
Another tool to check links is Bill Manville's FINDLINK, available at http://www.bmsltd.ie/mvp

Another Tool is Navigator Utilities which has a Name Navigator and a Link Navigator. It also has a sheet Navigator which helps you find hidden and password protected sheets (and removes the password for you).
