    Toolbars (2003 SP2)

Whenever I open a word document from someone else (came as an attachment or off of the server) the Reviewing toolbar pops up and I have to manually turn it off. Is there a way to stop this automatic behavior?

The way I've adopted is to keep the Reviewing toolbar open and docked all the time. If you don't work with Tracked Changes much, though, you can disable the toolbar and see if that works. For more information, see:

    Reviewing toolbar reappears (XP SP1)

Make turned off toolbar stick (MS Word 2002 (10.4009.3501) SP-1)

Please post back to confirm whether this works in Word 2003.

    Re: Toolbars (2003 SP2)

I didn't try the enable, disable macro since I still want it to be available when I do need it. The second toggle macro works fine but it doesn't really save that much time over just right-clicking on the toolbars and turning off the toolbar that way.

I did try just moving it up and over to the right so that now it pops up next to my standard toolbar whenever it comes on. That looks like the best I can do at this point.

    Thanks
