I have a 3 column sheet. Col A, Customers. Col B, An Item code. Col C the cost of the item. I want to sum Col C If Col A and Col B contain my criteria. I understand that the AND statement will not work in an Array. Help!! <img src=/S/scratch.gif border=0 alt=scratch width=25 height=29>

You don't mention how you specify the criteria, but say that column A must match the value in E1 and column B must match the value in F1. If rows 1 to 37 are used, the following formula, entered as an array formula with Ctrl+Shift+Enter, will sum values in column C whose corresponding values in column A and B satisfy the criteria:

=SUM((A1:A37=$E$1)*(B1:B37=$F$1)*C1:C37)
