Hi,
I've noticed these bizarre style name aliases (typically some variation of "Char Char Char Char Char" appended to my style name. It happens most often to the Body text style, but not always. It USUALLY seems to be introduced into a template/document when I insert auto text. But since I created the auto text myself, I don't know how it got in there in the first place.
I can re-define the style but it keeps coming back.
If I try to replace the auto text w/ an entry that is formatted properly, Word crashes, even if I delete the original entry first.
I can sort of get around this problem by using VBA code to redefine the style AFTER the auto text is inserted in the document, but that seems amateurish at best -- I can't figure out WHERE the "Char, Char, Char" is coming from.
Has anyone else seen this, and if so -- do you know what causes it to begin with, and how to eradicate it once it exists?
Thanks so much,
Laura
