    F2 Equivalent-for Keyboard Data Insertion (2000)

When I tab to a field with existing data, I'd like to add data via the keyboard without removing existing data. In Excel this can be done with F2. What's the equivalent in Access?

I would think so, most Windows conventions cross over to other apps. But after pressing F2, the cell text remains highlighted and any typing results in the former text disappearing. I wonder if there's a setting somewhere that changes this behavior?

The F2 key is working for me. I don't know of a method to change the behavior of the F2 key.
What you can try is in Tools/Options on the tab Keyboard, in the section Behavior Entering Field select the Go To End Of Field

    YESSSSSSS!
That's even better than F2--it already puts me in insertion mode.

See if F2 works in Excel?

Does Shift F2 work in Access?

I have an F-Lock button on my keyboard that has to be pressed on to activate F Keys, when I restart computer I have to turn F Keys on with F-Lock button each time.
