    Change file extension (Word xp)

I'm trying to write a macro in Word. I need to create a copy of a file called test.tab to test.doc.

    I tried
    fso.CopyFile tabfilename, path & x

but that doesn't work. Please help. thank you very much.

There is a crusty old VB method called FileCopy that you could try. The syntax is:

    FileCopy source, destination

Naturally, it won't work if the file is currently open in Word.
