Erase datebook

IS there a way to erase all the appointments in the date book without a hard reset?
Thanks

ZAve, assuming this is a PDA, what model and software are you using?

Re: Erase datebook

I want to give my Palm Vx to my wife. My phone book can stay, but I want to remove all the appointments in my date book- the original program that comes with the Palm.
Thanks

Re: Erase datebook

I hope your datebook app is the same as mine. If you sync to a desktop application, there may be a way to temporarily archive all your appointments, then sync to the empty calendar, then restore the archive.

If not, select the detailed day view, the one where all the hourly time bands show, by tapping the square icon with a single dot in the middle. Then tap the Menu icon, select Purge, and purge everything older than one week. Then go to Week view and manually select and delete all the remaining appointments from there. (Or at least the ones you don't want her to know about.)

I added to your idea. I changed the date in the Palm to a year from now and THEN purged. That took care of all future appointments also.
(BTW I" also downloaded DualDate so we can see each other's calendars, after her is hers and mine is mine )

<img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15> Good trick. My beancounter logic didn't think of setting the date forward.
