Combine a Chart and Data (Excel 2000)

I have a series of line charts showing units over time. I want to display 2 cells showing the financial impact (data calculated in a separate tab, not from the charted series) as numeric information. Is there a way to do this automatically?

Presently I use PaintShop Pro to capture the cells containing the numeric data, save as an image then insert the image on the chart.

Say that the cells are A1 and A2.
Click in an empty part of the chart.
Type =, then click on cell A1 and press Enter. A text box will appear on the chart with something like =Sheet1!A1 as formula; it will display the contents of A1.
Format, resize and move this text box as desired.
Click in an empty part of the chart
Repeat the above, but with A2 instead of A1.

    Another way to do this:

    - select the range of cells to show on the chart
    - hold the shift key and click the Edit menu
    - select copy picture
    - now go to your chart
    - Paste picture

    To make the picture dynamic:

    - click once on the picture to select it
    - Click in the formula bar
    - type the equal sign and now browse to the range of cells and select them
    - hit enter.
