addresses instead of names? (Outlook 2003)

Trying to help someone in another forum who is trying to help his mother who wants to be able to show e-mail addresses in the To: field (above the body of an opened received CC message) instead of the names. Been searching the archives and haven't found a way. If it can be done , can anyone help?

Re: addresses instead of names? (Outlook 2003)

Should I assume that the user's addresses are from her Contacts? If so, I don't have 2003, but in 2002 that's controlled by the E-mail Address Display in the Contact record. She can edit them to be the e-mail address. If there's alot of e-mail addresses, a VBA routine can run through them all and change the Display. There are a few code samples to perform similar, but not identical, bulk changes to the E-Mail Display in earlier threads in this Forum; those can be modified if you wish.

Re: addys instead of names? (Outlook 2003)

Thank you John. I don't know why the mother wants to display the addresses there, but I'm guessing she doesn't know how to see them in the header. I wasn't sure if there was a customized menu item that I couldn't find. I'll recommend the Contacts route. As for modifying a VBA routine, it shouldn't be necessary but thanks also for offering.
