    Formatting a Date

I would like a date to display as "Mar 2001" on a report when in the table it is input as "3/1/01". I know there is a way to format this but each attempt I make ends up with some wacky versions of a date and text mixed up.

    Any thoughts? <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>

Set the format for the field on the report to:

    mmm yyyy
