    No HTML email (2000)

Is it possible make a client side rule or macro for outlook that refuses all HTML formatted email and sends a message back to the sender telling them to reformat the message as plain text or rich text?

How about something that converts the incoming message to plain text? (Resulting formatting may be mashed.) It seems a bit rude to me to reject a message and request recomposition when you can convert it yourself.

BTW, in Outlook 2002, there's also <!mskb=307594>Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 307594<!/mskb>.

In theory yes, but you might be sending your e-mail rejection messages (containing your address, computer name, mail server, and other sensitive information) to dozens of evil spammers, so perhaps that sort of automation would only make your life more painful in the end?
