How to insert multiple Excel Sheets? (XP)

    Hello,

The screenshot shows how you can insert an extra sheet.
But is there a quick way to insert many sheets, e.g. 25?

    Thanks.

    Hi Bob,

Insert one, then press F4 repeatedly (or just hold it down if you're game) until you have as many sheets as you need.

    Cheers

    Brilliant.

So F4 is like a "Repeat last Action" shortcut, but for sheet manipulation only.

Not for sheet manipulation only; F4 also repeats many other actions, for example from the Edit menu (clear cells, fill down, find, ...), from the Insert menu (insert cells/rows/columns) and from the Format menu (format cells, apply a style, apply conditional formatting, change row height or column width)

If you select all the sheets (with ctrl or shift) and then insert sheet you will insert as many as you select. You can keep selecting more. It is not all in one "fell-swoop" but it is faster. 3 does makes 6, 6 makes 12, 12 makes 24, etc

    Hi Bob
[Shift] + F11, is a specific short cut to add worksheets.
