Select new directory to search (Excel 97 sr2)

I am currently using filesearch to retrieve info from the same directory as the file is located.
The current file location is held in one of the worksheets cells by:
    =CELL("Filename",A1)
    and then using LeftRightMid etcetera.
However, this means the file has to be located in the same folder as you want to search.
I have tried leaving the "address" entering to the user but this more often than not results in mistyping and hence errors.

I have searched through the xlDialogs but cannot find a suitable one for letting the user select the new folder to report on.
(Let the user select the folder then use this folder as value on worksheet)
The closest I have seen is the XLDialogFindFile but this results in user opening a file.

    Does anyone have any suggestion/solution??
    TIA

The GetFolder function in <post#=271140>post 271140</post#> by Don Ceraso demonstrates how to let the user browse for a folder instead of a file. Is that what you want?

    Spot on Hans!
As always - the question is easy...... when you know the answer.
My search for XLDialog was obviously too restrictive and didn't return that particular thread.
    Many thanks
