Multiple Tables & Graphs in one Excel Page

    Hello,

Let's say I'm trying to make a page with 3 sets of tables and graphs in pairs, such as:

    Table 1
    Graph 1

    Table 2
    Graph 2

Rightclick the chart (near its window border), choose format chart area, select the third tab (properties) and make sure you select either "Move but don't size with cells" or "DOn't move or size with cells".

    Dear Jan,

I'm having the same problem with multiple tables on 1 page.
How can I deal with that?

    Thanks,

    Bob.

Tables is a problem, since they may share the same columns or rows. No way around that, except by making sure they don't share rows and or columns that need a different width or height.

You can have a picture of a table below another table though.

Select the table to have a picture of, hold the shift key and choose Edit, copy picture. Then go to the position you need the picture and choose paste.

    Wow.

Isn't this a real handicap of Excel XP?

Because it means I have to keep original copies of all tables in a separate file incase I change the values?!

Is it something they've addressed in Excel 2003 I wonder?

If not, maybe we can tell them about it, so they can address it in the future

(Edited by sdckapr on 10-Feb-04 06:14. Added some other detail)
You can take "pictures" that are links so you ornly have to update the original:
After you follow Jan's suggestion, select the picture, and enter in the formula bar and equal sign (=) then select the range you want the picture of. It is now linked and changes to the original will change the "picture"

You can accomplish this in one fell swoop using the camera tool

Keep all the Original tables in one spot (even in separate sheets) so you can format each as desired. Use the camera tool to copy the pictures of the tables where you want them for display and print out.
