I currently am using Outlook 2003 on my notebook with Windows XP and as an Exchange Server 2000 client. I have an OST file setup to be able to use Outlook offline when separately connected to the internet using mail servers. When I created Rules to move certain e-mail on my prior notebook using an OST filed with Outlook XP and Windows 98SE, the rules worked both online and offline. With Outlook 2003, even though the rules were created when I was connected to the Exchange Server and were designated as client-side rules, they do not run offline. When I then tried to create the rules when offline, Outlook displayed the following: "You are currently working offline. To use this command, you must go online and connect to the Microsoft Exchange Server." How do I create rules with an OST file that will run offline?

Thanks. Andy
