Using Access as a data source (XP 2002)
I tried to use the data from a select query to merge in Word. First it doesn't give me the option to choose a query to do a merge. I just get an error. I have tried it from Access (merge with word) and from Word and neither way will work. The select query is based on two tables one for objectors and one for agents. An Objector may use an agent and all correspondence should be sent to the agent. This means that the address can come frrom the objectors table unless the agent used field is selected.
I thought it would be easy to do and I could have sworn you got the option to use a query as part of a mail merge in past versions of Word/ Access.
