Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB828028) (Outlook 2000)

After installing the Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB828028), my Outlook is now locking up when I click an internet link in a piece of mail. Anyone else having a problem?

Is that one (the ASN1 fix, described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-007) the only one you installed? It really should have no effect on whether a URL click launches the browser. Does it matter whether (1) the URL belongs to a site in your trusted zone, or (2) uses SSL, that is, has an HTTPS protocol identifier?

Are you using Word as your mail editor?

Now it is working. I don't know why, I had rebooted a few times and still had the problem. Took the computer a meeting and came back and now...it works. Must be magic.
