    Missing Vowels

If you fill in the vowels into the following letters, including the letter Y as a vowel, you get an animal, and if you fill in other vowels you get another animal. Some of the words are gender-specific.
For example: MS makes a big animal and with other vowels it turns into a small one - MOOSE and MOUSE.

    1#CRB: sea animal and mammal
    2#HND: two mammals
    3#X: mammal and bird
4#M: three birds and an insect
5#ML: two mammals and a bird
    6#CLT: young animal and cat
    7#HN: mammal and bird
8#FL: two insects and a mammal
    9#CT: mammal and bird
10#SLN: mammal (two words) and fish
    11#B: insect and reptile

    Re: Missing Vowels

    I can't believe I didn't think of <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>cat</font color=yellow></span hi> , instead, I thought of <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>coyote</font color=yellow></span hi> . The bird is what stumped me...

    Re: Missing Vowels

It appears that there may be several different, yet correct answers<span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow> - I live where the coyote lives yet I did not think of that critter! Then again I do live with a cat - who keeps reminding me who runs the place - <img src=/S/catty.gif border=0 alt=catty width=19 height=18> is pretty close to what he looks like - including the TEETH! And driving into work I see several hundred coots (aka mud hens) on the man-made lakes around here.</font color=yellow></span hi>
