    Outlook 03 & text highlights (Outlook 03)

Hi all. I'd like to be able to insert <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold">text highlighting </span hi> in Outlook HTML messages, in exactly the same way as I do in Word - but without using Word as my email editor . I used to use a rather cool Outlook add-on call Annotis which let me do all kinds of things, but it doesn't work with Outlook 2003. I know this should be simple, but it doesn't seem to be. I have a Word macro that applies a highlight to a selection, and hoped that I could just copy that macro's code to an Outlook macro, but of course that didn't work (I don't know how to code macros to save my life).

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

    Neil

This looks difficult to me. It involves editing the HTMLBody of the message behind the scenes to insert <SPAN STYLE="background-color: yellow">your text</SPAN> tags. Okay, that's not so bad, but what I wouldn't know how to figure out is what is currently selected? So... in my book, this is a tough one.

You may be able to find a FONT that is high lighted and use it.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
