Rotating Autoshape plus text (Word 2000)

I've attached a sample document with an Autoshape that contains text. I want to rotate the box and the text 90 degrees.

I know how to rotate just the box, but how do you get the text to rotate with it?

Don't you just hate the way things that should be easy are so hard?
One way I found to get it to work was to use Powerpoint.
    1. In Powerpoint, create the object as you want, and rotate it. The text rotates.
    2. Copy the object.
    3. In Word, use Edit, Paste Special, paste as Picture (not as Office Drawing Object)
    4. Viola!

Note: you'll want to save the Powerpoint file separately, as you can't edit the object in Word without the text un-rotating.
There's bound to be other ways to do this, but this just was my first guess.

Thanks, Peter. Since other people may have to edit this document (office situation), I think I'd better leave PowerPoint out of it. If worse comes to worse, I just won't rotate it. I can't believe there's not some way to do it within Word.

Peter, I just found it. It's under Format > Text Direction. I knew I had used it before, but just couldn't remember. Thanks again for taking the time to answer.

I'm not sure what version of Word you're using, but Format>Text Direction in Word 2000 only has 90 degree increments - if you want it on a slope, no go. Maybe newer versions of Word are different.
But glad that works for you.

Yeah, it's too bad it limits you to just 90 degree shifts. But that was what I wanted, so it was good enough this time.
