    Hebrew letters (Word 2002)

    When I copy/paste some Hebrew text from the Web into a WORD document, the Hebrew letters appear in reverse order (e.g., "redro esrever"). From the 'Tools' menu, I clicked on "Language" and set the highlighted text to "Hebrew," but it didn't change the order. Any suggestions?

    Re: Hebrew letters (Word 2002)

    This may be becasue Word actually stores the text from left to right, whilst the web page does it the other way round (or vice-versa). Whatever, you can 'correct' the problem by selecting the affected text and running the 'Reverse' macro below.

    Cheers

    Sub Reverse()
    Selection.TypeText ReverseText(Selection)
    End Sub

    Function ReverseText(Selection As String) As String
    If (Len(Selection) < 2) Then
    ReverseText = Selection
    Else
    ReverseText = ReverseText(Mid$(Selection, 2)) + Left$(Selection, 1)
    End If
    End Function
