View Footer by Default (Word 2000 and >)

(Edited by HansV to make subject more useful for future searching) <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

    <img src=/S/hello.gif border=0 alt=hello width=25 height=29> Loungers

I did ask my sister to join the Lounge, but I guess one from the same family is enough <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15>

She asks, is there a way to have MS-Word 2000 and 2003 default to the Footer of the page vs the Header when you do a View | Header and Footer?

I guess she always uses the Footer vs the header and that extra click is getting boring fast.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Select Tools | Customize...
In the Commands tab, select View in the Categories list, then scroll the Commands list almost all the way down until you see the View Footer command.
Drag this to the View menu, or to a toolbar.
You can also assign a keyboard shortcut for this command by clicking Keyboard... in the Customize dialog.

    You are way too fast...

Now I have to send my sister these instructions, and she will be happy no doubt.

    Thanks again.
