    Headers/Footers & Sections (Word 2000)

I am trying to put different headers on last 6 pages of a 20 page document, the first 14 pages do not require a header. The 6 pages need to have the Appendiix # (1-6) with the title in the header, and each time I try to insert the header the same header shows up on every page of the doc. I tried to use the Help function and it talks about creating a diff header/footer for diff parts of a doc but I can't seem to get it to work right. Hope someone can help the paper is due soon, thanks! <img src=/S/help.gif border=0 alt=help width=23 height=15>

    Re: Headers/Footers & Sections (Word 2000)

You need to make those last 6 pages a seperate section. Click on the last line of the page before the last 6 that you want the header on. Insert Break > Continous. Now in your header go to the first page of the 6 and click on the Link to Previous button on the Header and Footer toolbar that appears. This should disconnect the two sections. Your second section should not say "Same as Previous". No go and remove any text in one of the headers of the section where you do not want text.
