    Intellisense in Excel VBA

I have some VB knowledge, but am new to VBA. I find that Intellisense does not work consistently in Excel VBA. I have even tried it on code that is already in the application, not just on my own code, which lord knows could be wrong. This is disappointing because it is such a useful tool. Where am I going wrong?
Also, If I have a question about VBA in Excel, do I post in VB/VBA or in Excel?

    Re: Intellisense in Excel VBA

    Hi,

    1. Can you give an example of what is going wrong?
    2. Post Excel VBA stuff in here.

    Re: Intellisense in Excel VBA

I didn't write this code - it was already in Excel. If I delete the dots between (for instance)ActiveSheet and Columns or Columns and Select, I would expect Intellisense to come up. In fact, if it doesn't come up in VB you know you are SOL. Also, the first paren after Columns should bring up the parameters and it doesn't. Nevertheless, the code seems to work.

    Sub HiddenRowsColumnsAlert()
    Dim c As Range

    'Detect Hidden Rows

    ActiveSheet.Columns("A:A").Select
    For Each c In Selection
    If c.EntireRow.Hidden = True Then
    MsgBox "Row " & c.Row & " is hidden", 0, "Hidden Row Alert"
    End If
    Next c

    'Detect Hidden Columns

    ActiveSheet.Rows("1:1").Select
    For Each c In Selection
    If c.EntireColumn.Hidden = True Then
    MsgBox "Column " & c.Column & " is hidden", 0, "Hidden Column Alert"

    End If
    Next c
    End Sub
