    Categorise this!

Remove a letter from each of the words below and rearrange the remaining letters to form new words. The 10 words will all fall into a certain category. The tough part is getting all 10 words.

A few of these were really bugging me, but I think I got them all...

    Re: Categorise this!

    I'm guessing 4#<span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>LOUSE</font color=yellow></span hi>, which would make the "category" <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>Insecta Hexapoda, or Creepus Crawla Pesterus or some such funny Latin term.</font color=yellow></span hi>

Hi Ricky. Fine effort but your number 4 seems a little " out of category", don't you think? I'd never heard of your number 9 but it seems an acceptable alternative, although there is a more common member of the group.

#6 is the one that held me up the longest. What's the preferable answer for #9?</font color=yellow></span hi>

Shall we say that the final 5 letters of your word are OK, and in the right order then you mite be well on the way to debugging it. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
