    UserForm (2002)

Hi, I am making a userform which I want to use to display the file directories so the user can select a folder. In my VB6 there is a control on the control box for this but it doesnt seem to be standard in the Word form. I have look through the additional controls but do not think it is there. How do I get this adtiional control?

It is the Drive, Directory and file controls I need.

    Thanks.
    Thanks,

I don't think there is a VBA control for this, but if you search the VBA forum for the string GETOPENFILENAME then you will find some examples of how to use the Windows API call.

Thanks for that, thats a lot of code. I know on my VB6 there are controls for Drives, Directories. But I have got this at home so will have to wait to check that out.

I have found from another thread the reference to mscomctl.ocx , which I have added successfully to my control box. When I try to add the control to the form howver, i get an error, that it has not ben registered properly.

    Cheers,
    Thanks,

Using mscomctl.ocx is problematic - even if you can make it work on your PC, chances are that it won't work on another one.

Don Ceraso posted a very short function for selecting a folder in <post#=271140>post 271140</post#>.
