    No text on calendar control (Word 2k)

    Hello,

    I have a template that uses a userform with two calendar controls that works fine on both my machines at home. Now I've placed the template on the network at the office. The calendar appears but no day numbers are showed. In the listboxes I can see the name of the month and the year but that's all.

    Clicking on a date fills in that date but in mm-dd-yy. In the code I use the format dddd, dd mm yyyy.

    At home I work with the Dutch version of Office, at Work we have the English version.

    What can I do to make it work Properly?

    I can't find anything about the day numbers not being displayed. Have you checked the settings for DayFontColor and GridFontColor?

    In itself it is not surprising that you get a date in US format, for that is what VBA uses internally for all dates. What is the code you are using?

    I've seen this behavior intermittently in our installations but haven't been able to find a cause. Closing and reopening the application usually results in the proper display of the calendar control in our apps.

    Re: No text on calendar control (Word 2k)

    The code is:

    Private Sub Calendar1_Click()
    frmFC.txtTraindatum.Text = Format(Calendar1.Value, "dddd, dd mmmm yyyy")
    End Sub

    Private Sub txtTraindatum_Enter()
    frmCalendar1.Show
    End Sub

    There's no problem on my machines. Only at work.... so I think it's something in Windows ? (V 2000)

    Your code looks OK. Perhaps something is wrong with the calendar control on the problem machine.

    (Edited by HansV to make URL clickable - see <!help=19>Help 19<!/help>)

    Hmm don't know. I had a problem earlier when I copied the template to my other machine. There was only an error about Icalendar couldn't be found. After searching for hours I came up a microsoft page :

    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=287472 with the cause and solution

    And do you have Visual C++ installed on your machines? I know I've seen the problem on two different Windows XP machines, neither of which have any version of Visual C++ installed. Plus, we're seeing it cure itself. <img src=/S/scratch.gif border=0 alt=scratch width=25 height=29>

    Re: No text on calendar control (Word 2k)

    Yes I have. After reinstall Proplus.msi the problem was solved. But that's not the case at work. No Visual Studio Installed, no error message about Calendar. Only th day numbers on the grid don't show. If you click on a place where you guess that that's the correct day then the date is filled in. Only in the english format and not as I put in the code as dddd, dd mm yyyyy.

    Found it. It is Windows2000. I started my computer with that OS and loaded the template. Nu numbers on the calendar. So I have to find the solution there.....
