    If you are talking about two distinct data series, you can specify that one of them uses the secondary axis: double click the series, activate the Axis tab in the Format Data Series dialog, and click Secondary Axis in the Plot Series On box.

    If the data are in the same series, it is very much dependent on the kind of values you have, I don't think there is a general recipe. Sometimes, a logarithmic scale for the value (y) axis helps.

    Excel doesn't have the kind of axis divider you describe, but there may be add-ins that provide something like that.

    Thank you for your reply.

    I have attached the data set I need to plot and the graph which I got out.

    It would be nice to try and get focus on the lower lines's details somehow.

    Check out the Technique in Jon Peltier's Charts in his Broken Y-axis Plot. He does it with a column chart, but it is essentially the same technique.
