    Separate Printers (Word 2002 XP)

    Is there a way to designate a default printer for Word only? I have a user who needs to print certain files to Word and other files to a different printer.
    Thanks

    Try the following VBA routine. You can use the File>Print dialog box to get the name of the printer. This routine will use the default settings to print out the current document.
    <pre>Sub PrintToSecondPrinter()
    Dim DefaultPrinter As String

    DefaultPrinter = Application.ActivePrinter
    ' change printer
    Application.ActivePrinter = "Your printer name goes here"
    ' print active document
    ActiveDocument.PrintOut
    ' go back to default printer
    Application.ActivePrinter = DefaultPrinter

    End Sub
    </pre>
