    View of Reports (MS-Project 2000)

I need help with extracting soft copies of MicroSoft Project Reports. Due to the nature of my Stakeholds being spread nationally, the soft copies would facilitate ease of E-mailing the reports. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

For reports, the easiest way I can think to do this is if you have Adobe Acrobat. You would open the report, then select printer as the pdf, and print to a .PDF format. You could then send out the PDF files.

Another option would be to open the report and use <Alt><Print Screen> to get a screen shot and paste this into a document. (Too much work).

A different way to get data out is to use an export map written to HTML or CSV. This will give you raw data NOT in a nice report format.

I would go with the first option if I had my choice, creating a PDF.

Thanks Gary, You are the second person that mention the PDF option. However, I have used my limited knowledge of selecting the PDF as the printer format. I do not see the Acrobat reader as printer option. What are you thoughts of what problem might be...thxs

To create PDF files, you need software (that does not come with Windows or with Project by default) that can create PDF files. See www.adobe.com/acrobat for the "best" way to do it with the product delivered by the owner of PDF technology. Also see the Microsoft Project MVP FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) about this for some alternatives http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm#Project Viewer. I personally use both Acrobat and Ghostscript.
